CDAC Progressive Challenge 22b

This image was created by Digistamps For Joy. I used watercolor pencils, glitter markers, and stickles to color this image. This image looks a lot better in real life than it does in this scan. The background paper was from my stash. I hope that you like my finished card.

CDACPC 19 Project 1

This image was donated to this round of the CDAC Progressive Challenge by Tiffany Doodles. I used a digital background from my stash and I added the sentiment before I printed the background. I colored the surfboards with colored pencils and glitter markers. The surfboards are cut out and popped up with foam squares. I hope that you like this project. I am sorry that I have been gone for so long, but I have gone back to school to become an Art Therapist, and I have tons of homework this semester.

CDAC Special Challenge - for you

This image was created by JenLee for Digistamps for Joy. I used some designer paper that I got with my Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine this month, sentiment stamp from the A Year of Flowers rubber stamp set, and watercolor pencils.

CDAC Special Challenge - Stay Cool!

This image was created by Pattie's Creations. I used digital paper for the background, handwritten sentiment, and watercolor pencils. I hope you like this finished card as much as I do, with the record-breaking heat wave that we have been having across most of the USA this last week I thought that this was an appropriate card to send to quite a few people.

MIA for So Long

I have been really sick for quite awhile and it has kept me completely away from the computer. I was hospitalized on May 9th with pneumonia and I wasn't released until May 22nd. I will be trying to get to feeling back to semi-normal pretty soon, but I am not sure how long that is going to take as this ended up being a lot more serious than I thought it was to begin with. When they told me a few years ago that catching the flu or pneumonia could be fatal to me I thought they were just being overly dramatic, but it turns out that they were being serious. I am going to try to get back to work on card projects as quickly as I can, but I am not completely sure how well I am going to be able to do that.

The nurses and techs that I had at the hospital were awesome and I am sure that I would not have made it if it weren't for their great care. Thanks for putting up with the witch that I become when on steriods. I am very thankful for the great care that I received. Thank You!

CDAC Progressive Challenge #14, Project #2

The theme for this round is Baskets or Bunnies?. The image came from A Day for Daisies. The papers came from my collection and the sentiment came from my PC Hugware collection. I thought that this would make a great new baby card. The scan for this card shows it being uneven from side to side, but it is not uneven, it is just the way that the scan worked and I was trying to get this card posted before the deadline, but I missed for this card and quite a few other ones that I had made with the images that we were given this round. I colored this image with watercolor pencils, glitter markers, and alcohol markers. I used pop dots to raise the image and the sentiment up from the background.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #13, Project #4

The theme for this round of CDAC Progressive Challenge is Spring is Coming. When I think of Spring, the first thing I think of is kites and the kite festivals that I start going to in March. When I saw this image of a little girl I just knew that she needed to be flying a kite. This image was provided by Lia Stampz. I colored the image with my watercolor pencils. The background paper was a digital one from my stash and the kite was the last one from my stash as well. I used some white embroidery floss for the flying line to go from the little girl to the kite.

Thank you for stopping by.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #13, Project #3

The theme for this round of the CDAC Progressive Challenge is Spring is Coming. I really liked the colors in this particular digital paper that I have in my stash so I picked it to use for the background of this card. I chose colors that matched the background papers and used the image provided by Glitterbabe. I really liked the way that these flowers turned out. I used my watercolor pencils and glitter pens to color the images. I only glued the centers of the flowers down so that the petals could provide some depth to the card.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #13, Project #2

The theme for this round is Spring is Coming. The vase of flowers image was provided by Pattie's Creations. I used micron pens, water color pencils, a random butterfly rubber stamp, and crystal effects to color this emage. I also used four light olive green mini brads in the four corners of the image sheet.

Thank you for stopping by.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #13, Project #1

The theme for this round of CDACPC is Spring is Coming. This image came from Crafting with Jack. The dp background is from my stash and the image was colored with my watercolor pencils and glitter pens. I used 3D foam squares to elevate the butterfly's wings for some dimension.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my card.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #12, Project #3

Another card to go along with the Green, Great, and Gorgeous theme is this great St. Patrick's Day card with another great digital image from Crafting with Jack. I colored this image using my watercolor pencils. I used a lot of different papers on this card including some cardstock from my stash and some digital paper from my PC Hugware stash. I hope that you like this card.

CDAC Progressive Challenge #12, Project #2

Continuing with the theme of Green, Great, and Gorgeous I created this card with a digital image from Crafting with Jack. I really liked the way that the shamrocks and flowers were interwined on this image. I used quite a few different papers on this card including glitter construction paper, digital paper from my PC Hugware collection, and some new glitter paper from DCWV that I think is just gorgeous! I colored the image with Prismacolor Premier Brust Markers and Atyou Spica Markers. I can't wait to get the other set so that I can finally say that I have all of the markers that are in that particular brand. I hope that you like this card. I left it without a sentiment as I thought it could be used for many different reasons.

CDAC Progressive Challenge Round #12, Project 1 - Version 2

This card is a cleaner, simpler version of the project that I posted earlier. The image was provided by Fred She Said Digital Designs. She has an online store, her blog, and a challenge blog as well. The theme for this round is Green, Great, and Gorgeous. I wanted this card to be simpler so that it could be used for guys as well as girls and for a lot of different reasons. I think it would make a great little boys' birthday card as well as a great Just for You card...

The background paper is from one of my PC Hugware collections. I colored the image with my watercolor pencils.

CDAC Progressive Challenge Round #12, Project 1

Here I am once again posting my CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge projects on the last day of the round and trying to beat the deadline. Why does life keep getting in the way of my artwork? Anyhow... the theme for this round is Green, Great, and Gorgeous! The first image that I chose to work with was provided by Fred She Said Designs. Not only is there a great online store, but you will also find links to her blog. I really like her artwork.

For this project I used digital paper for the background from my PC Hugware collection. I used watercolor pencils to color the image. The sentiment was from one of my PC Hugware collections also. The green jewels were from my stash. This card is actually quite a bit larger than the cards that I usually make. I have two versions of this card and they are each 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".

Sorry For My Absence

Sorry that I have been missing for awhile, but I have been in and out of the hospital a couple of times over the last few months (since before Christmas) and I am still dealing with the health issues that put me there. I am hoping to get some cards posted for the challenges that are currently going on as well as some cards that I created but didn't get to post before the challenges ended. Thank you for your concern over my disappearance.

This is one of the cards that I made  for cdacpc Round 8 that I didn't get posted in time. I am really happy with the way that it turned out.
