First of all I want to apologize for taking so long to post on my blog. I promise I will try to get better at it. I am swamped with schoolwork at the end of this semester and am swamped with a transcription job that I accepted, that I am beginning to believe is more than I can handle right now.
Secondly, Saturday April 25th was a GREAT day in Austintown, Ohio. We got up at 4:30 am to drive from our home in southwestern PA to Austintown, OH. We spent the day at the 2009 Let Your Dreams Fly Kite Festival that supports the Jessica Moorehead Foundation for Hope. This is a wonderful foundation that helps children with cancer and their families. They do a remarkable job and their story is truly one that brings tears to your eyes. Here is a link to their site so that you can read more about this wonderful group of people and the tragic story behind them: http://www.jessicafoundationforhope.org/index.shtml .
I don't have any pictures from this year's festival to show you, but it truly was a great way to spend the day with family and friends and watch the joy that spreads over a child's face as they hold a string and watch the kite they made fly up, up, and up into the sky.
